Please remember that nominations close on 13 Feb and need to be seconded.  It is assumed that people who have been nominated, but with no position supplied with the nomination, are nominated as moderators. Please correct this if necessary.

Further it is assumed that a person with more than 1 nomination for a position has been seconded.

If there are errors in the list, please advise Ihar in the It Is Time ... thread.

Will the people nominated, and only the people nominated please accept or decline the nominations below.  You have until midnight on Sat 18 Feb to do so, should you not respond, it will be assumed that you have declined the nomination.  Please also indicate which position you were nominated for that you are declining for accepting.

Okay, since the latest posts I think it became clear in which direction we are heading .
 Just three questions:

1. Are we going to get a chance to vote for nominees who accepted their nominations ? If so, could you please explain the voting process ?

2.  I ussume nominees who do not accept their nominations in public will not qualify to serve as members of Management ?

3. Do nominees who do not own a Lada qualify to serve at Management ?

P.S. The reason for my questions - since we started nominating members we obviously did not know which members would accept their nominations. Therefore I think it would just make sense to cast our votes once it becomes clear who are indeed available for the different positions ?

Further discussion in the "its time"  thread concluded that the chairman and vice chairman should own a lada. Moderators were exempt.

Thanks ! Who exactly decided that non-owners should be allowed to serve as moderators ? The outgoing management only ? Dont you guys think that all owners should have an opportunity to vote about this issue ?                                   P.S. I am not trying to be difficult - to my mind the current (outgoing) members of management simply do not have a mandate to make a decision on their own in this regard.

The only non lada owner who was nominated was me as far as im aware. Since its such a contentious topic, I declined the nomination.

Everyone else that is nominated owns a lada, so are we going to argue in circles about a situation that doesnt even exist, or are we going to constructively build a club that benefits the members?

Conrad, maybe you should read Spike's latest post again. He clearly indicated that non owners will be allowed as moderators. Please dont take this issue personal. The outgoing Management clearly do not have a mandate to accept non owners as part of management, and that's not your fault. And believe me, we are not talking "in circles" here.

Danie I think you missed the post where it was mentioned that there is no actual "management" at all! Lets not get too technical about who nots and what nots - as long as we get the job done. I am sure that the vast majority of active forum users (not too many these days  ) have a vested interest in LOCSA and the Niva.

Nice footwork Spikes. Its not going to help though. You clearly did not understand me correctly. All moderators are obviously part and parcel of "Management", therefore the sames rules should apply to the "moderators" as well. And of cause, we all came forward with our feeling in this regard - but none of us casted a vote on a very important issue like this. Expressing a view is obviouly very different from casting a vote.Sorry to say, I am not happy about the way this issue has been handled . To my mind this issue as well as the voting process are not been handled correctly. Again, I am not trying to be difficult.
