Hi Freggel  welcome to LOCSA, we trust you will enjoy your stay......

If you need any help on the forum, either post something under the appropriate section, or send a PM to one of the Admins or Moderators.

We would really appreciate pictures of your Niva.

Hi guys,

I'm Freek Kramer 28 years from the Netherlands  and I own an Niva from 2006 with 65000 km which I'm restoring and it's almost Finished.

I bought the niva last March and it was in pretty rough shape.
The engine runs like clockwork but the transfer case and clutch were terrible, so I replaced the clutch for the 215mm upgrade kit and fitted a new layshaft to the TC and when we were at it we also replaced the propshafts for the one's with the CV's.
Also some new filters and a crankshaft oil seal and the mechanical part was done.

So now the body, the car had his fair share of dents and rotten places so about 1sqm of body plate and a can of filler later and the body was ready for the paintshop.
I kept the original blue colour and it came out perfect like a mirror!

Things I still want to do are a roof rack and maybe a steel front and back bumper.

All and all in the Netherlands a Niva is very rare and guaranteed you'll turn some heads  when driving...

wow,  that is a lot of work on a relatively new vehicle, most of ours are  from 1995 to 2002 only.

she looks great now though

do you know why the Lada deteriorated so much in 12 years?

I think it had something to do with that the previous owners lived at the coast and they drove the beach a lot trough he salt water.

Ok that makes sense, glad she got a new owner to look after her.
