Lada specialist Cape Town
« on: June 14, 2019, 02:55:22 pm »
Hey guys,

i jut bought a lada niva and so far i am very happy with it! I am leaving the country next week for 3 weeks and i would like to give the car to somenone that can service and repair some things. I know that he breaks need to be worked on as well as some other things. I saw a couple of contacts here in this forum but all the threads were quite old.

Can someone recommend a good contact in Cape Town?

Also i am very keen to meet some of you guys to take the car out :)

Cheers,
Sebastian

I don't know "lada specialist" in cape Town. But I do know some lada owners who are very capable.

Hey guys,

many thanks for your reply.

@Mogamat - as you already know i found someone who is working on my car at the moment :D Heard you guys are in contact. Thanks for that!

My current problem is, that something seem to discharge the battery while i am standing. Also, the car sometimes doesn't want to start when the engine is warm. Any ides what that could be?

Cheers,
Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,

Not wanting to start when hot is normally a missing starter motor heatshield, but check the starter wiring as well as heat affects conductivity and the wire may have a hot spot where it lies on the gearbox bell housing

Regards Ari

My Lada runs on grace from God, and breaks due to my failings.

Good morning,

the problem was in the starter you are right. Starts super fine now :) Please see picture attached of the broken part.

Facing new issues with overheating now.
