Getting my Lada ready for a new skin
« on: March 04, 2015, 07:03:36 am »
Hi all, I recently decided to strip my lada in order to do rust repair, rust treatment, and a new paint job.

I've removed the door trim, seats, rubber mats, sound proofing carpeting, and will be moving onto the wiring this weekend.

I'll try and report my progress, pitfalls, and frustrations here.

Wish me luck.

For now, I need recommendations for good panel beaters with rust treating ability in or around durban.
I also need to start looking for new sound proofing material. Advice will be appreciated.

Riaan on this forum had a lot of rust removed from his Niva. His address places him in Durban as well.

Good luck with the refurbishing!

Look for Riaan Maree on the facebook group, he is seldom on the forum.  He is in Amanzimtoti
